I am quite dumb when it comes to converting files into mp3s..how do you get bittorrents to work on macs?? especially when they're flac files? I tried the azureus program, but I have so many problems with ports having to be opened and firewalss and such....can anyone help me out?

I use Transmission as my mac bittorrent client - works wonderfully... ( http://transmission.m0k.org ) As for converting the FLACS to wav, I use xACT... ( http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/21952 )

Regarding firewalls / ports, unfortunately I can't help you much other than directing you to this site: http://www.portforward.com/default.htm Here you'll find information specific to your router. Forwarding ports can be rather tricky.... good luck!
