“People attending Damian Rice’s sold out Sydney show last night got a surprise when Missy Higgins made an unannounced appearance as his opening act. She told the crowd she was a “huge fan” of the acclaimed Irish singer/songwriter and that it was “a dream come true” to share a stage with him.
In addition to playing a short set of her own Missy also joined Damian onstage for his encore, performing “Volcano” and a memorable version of “When Doves Cry”. The show ended with Missy and Damian both sculling glasses of red wine and toasting the cheering crowd.”
