Variety reports that Damien Rice’s 9 was one of only two albums that made gains in the top 100 charts in the USA last week. 9 sold 18,000 copies, 5,000 more than the previous week, to rise 59 slots to No. 58. This is apparently due to the album being available at Starbucks outlets as well as a repeat showing of Damien’s performance on The Tonight Show over the Christmas period.
