“O” has been selected as the 2nd best Irish album of time by readers of Hot Press, as published in their “100 Greatest Irish Albums of All Time” poll today. Thanks to everyone for voting.
The top ten consists of: 1) U2 – The Joshua Tree, 2) Damien Rice – O, 3) U2 – Achtung Baby, 4) Van Morrison – Astral Weeks, 5) My Bloody Valentine – Loveless, 6) Snow Patrol – Final Straw, 7) Whipping Boy – Heartworm, 
The Frames – Dance the Devil, 9) Thin Lizzy – Live and Dangerous, and 10) Rory Gallagher – Live in Ireland ‘74. Also, Damien’s former bandmates, Bell X1, feature at number 11 with their 2003 album Music in Mouth.
Also, Damien is nominated in the Best Male category for tonight’s Meteor Ireland Music Awards.
